Homemade Coffee Scrub

Have you ever thought of using fresh coffee grounds on your skin? It sounds weird, but the texture is perfect for exfoliating the skin, removing dead skin cells, and even tightening the skin. This homemade coffee scrub is made with simple ingredients that you can find in your pantry! Sometimes the skin needs a little extra love that may call for exfoliation. It is recommended to exfoliate the skin up to three times a week, depending on your skin type. When you exfoliate your skin, it can remove dead skin cells and expose the healthy glow underneath.

YOU WILL NEED

Bowl: Small

1/2 cup coffee grounds, finely ground

1/2 cup granulated / brown sugar

1/4 cup coconut oil, melted

1 tsp. pure vanilla (optional)

10 drops essential oils (optional)

Airtight container

TO MAKE

In a small bowl, mix together the coffee grounds and sugar. Add the coconut oil, vanilla and essential oils, and mix until well combined. Scoop the scrub into a container with an airtight lid for storage. To use, apply the coffee scrub to dry skin. Scoop out a generous amount, gently massage it into the skin using a circular motion, and allow it to soak in for 5-10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water, and follow with a body moisturizer. For best results, use the coffee scrub up to three times a week. It should last about two months.
