1. Press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds to turn it on
2. Locate and press the menu button on the top right-hand corner to navigate to the WiFi screen that says 2.4G or 5.0G. (I recommend using the 5.0G because it is faster, unless for some reason you cannot connect to 5G than you should try 2.4G)
3. Press the power button when you are on the 2.4G or 5.0G to display the WiFi name and password.
4. Go to your Chromebook. Navigate to the bottom right corner of the screen and click on the WiFi icon and select the Moxee WiFi.
5. Type in the password displayed on the Hotspot screen. (It should be a series of numbers below where it says WPA_WPA2) and press Enter to connect.
Basic Troubleshooting
If your Moxee Hotspot is not working correctly for some reason. You can follow the basic troubleshooting steps below to help you get back online.
1. Press and hold the power button until the device is in the off position.
2. Remove the charging cable from the Hotspot if you still have it plugged in.
3. Remove the cover on the back of the Hotspot
4. Remove the battery
5. Unlock the metal piece that is holding down the SIM card.
6. Remove the SIM card and wait for about 5 minutes.
7. Put the SIM card back into the Hotspot.
8. Place the battery and the cover back on.
9. Press and hold the power button until the unit turns on.
10. Wait for about 1 minute before reconnecting your Chromebook to your Hotspot.
NOTE: If your hotspot is displaying NO SERVICE on the screen or there is only one bar of G4 LTE signal (located on the left side of the screen) you will not be able to connect to the Internet even though there is no problem with the hardware. At this point you must use your own Internet connection at home to log in to the classroom. If you do not have an Internet connection at home contact your instructor immediately.
