How to allow your instructor to access your Chromebook for technology support

1. Click on the extension button inside your Chrome browser. Then select Chrome Remote Desktop as shown below.

2. At the top of the page you will see Remote Access and Remote Support. Make sure Remote Support is selected.

3. Now scroll down and click on Share my screen.

4. Now click on the Generate Code button as shown below.

5. Now give your instructor the access code like the one shown below, and he or she will be able to access your Chromebook and support you with technology-related issues.

Small PDF

Small PDF is an online PDF editor. You can use this to complete your assignment that is in PDF format. Simply visit the website, upload the PDF document by clicking on the Choose File button in the middle of the page, locate your PDF file and click on Open. Once it is uploaded you can use the text tool on the top left corner of the tool to add text to your PDF document. Once you are done with editing the document just click on the Download button on the top right corner to download your edited PDF file to your Chromebook. 

1. Choose a PDF file by clicking on the CHOOSE FILE button.

2. Once it is uploaded, edit your PDF document. Once you are done click on the DOWNLOAD button to download the edited version to your Chromebook. Now you can upload the edited PDF file to your google classroom.

MyPace Login

8. From here you can copy and paste any of your writing into this space and Grammarly will check all of your grammar, spelling, and punctuation for you. Click on the word that is underlined in red to see recommendations on how to fix the error.

How to use a free cloud drive to share files with your instructor and peer

1. Sign up for a free pCloud account here.

2. Fill out the form like the one below and click Create account. (You can use any email you want. I recommend using your student email.)

3. Verify your email by clicking the green button at the top of the page. (complete the optional steps to earn more storage space.)

4. Now log on to the email you used to sign up for the account and verify it by clicking on the green button that says CLICK TO VERIFY EMAIL.

5. After you have verified your email. Go back to www.pcloud.com and sign in to your new account.

6. Notice there are several buttons on your account. From here you can view, upload, create and share any file you want. The blue button is for uploading files to your pCloud account, the Grey button next to the upload button is to create a new folder and the share button to the right side of the folder or file is to generate a link to share the file or folder with your peer or instructor.

NOTE: when you clicked on the Share button for the folder you will also be able to allow someone to upload a file to your pCloud account as well as allowing them to view or download the files in that folder but for this tutorial, we will learn how to share your file with your instructor.

7. Look for the file you want to share and hover your mouse over it. You should now see a Share button to the right. Now navigate over to the Share button and click on it, then select Share link

8. Now click on Copy Link and send that link to your instructor or peer so they can view your file or assignment.

NOTE: Only use this method to share file with your instructor if there is no place for you to upload the assignment in Google classroom. If there is an option to upload your assignment in the Google classroom, please upload it there instead.

Texas-Style Barbecued Brisket

Ingredients

3 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 Cloves garlic, minced
1 Tablespoon chili powder
1 Teaspoon celery salt
1 Teaspoon black pepper
1 Teaspoon liquid smoke
1 Beef brisket (3 to 4 pounds), trimmed
2 bay leaves
Barbecue Sauce (Recipe below)

Instruction For Slow Cook

1. Combine Worcestershire sauce, garlic, chili powder, celery salt, pepper and liquid smoke in small bowl. Spread mixture on all sides of beef. Place beef in large resealable food storage bag; seal bag. Refrigerate 24 hours.

2. Place beef, marinade and bay leaves in slow cooker, cutting meat in half to fit, if necessary. Cover; cook on LOW 7 hours. Meanwhile, prepare Barbecue Sauce.

3. Remove beef from slow cooker and pour juices into 2-cup measure; let stand 5 minutes. Skim fat from juices Remove and discard bay leaves. Stir 1 cup juices into Barbecue Sauce. Discard remaining juices.

4. Return beef and sauce mixture to slow cooker. Cover; cook on LOW 1 hour or until meat is fork-tender. Remove beef to cutting board. Cut across the grain into 1/4 inch thick slices. Serve with Barbecue Sauce.

Recipe for Barbecue Sauce

2 Tablespoons vegetable oil

1 Onion, chopped

2 Cloves garlic, minced

1 Cup ketchup

1/2 Cup molasses

1/4 Cup cider vinegar

2 Teaspoons chili powder

1/2 Teaspoon dry mustard

Instruction

1. Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook and stir until onion is tender.

2. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer over medium heat 5 minutes.
